Who is behind Scottish Rugby Television?
Our reporter/producer is the well known print, radio and TV journalist Ron Evans of Rerite Sport. Broadcast and internet expertise comes from Ayrshire production company Stable Recordings.

Are you part of the SRU?
Like the SRU, Scottish Rugby Television in common with our colleagues at Scottish Rugby Radio is committed to the development and promotion of rugby in Scotland. We are however independent of the Scottish Rugby Union and are funded by sponsors and advertisers who enable us to bring coverage of Scottish rugby to you.

What is the best way to watch your coverage?
We are aiming to give our viewers, sponsors and advertisers the biggest possible choice.

You can watch our videos on our website, or on other websites which carry our programmes, for example Scrum Magazine.

You can set your computer to download them automatically for free as a video podcast from the iTunes store. Then you can keep the videos for as long as you want, watch them full screen on your computer, put them on an iPod and show them to your friends at the rugby club, or play them onto your TV from an iPod, Apple TV or similar hardware.

We also post the videos on YouTube. It has a vast worldwide audience and is searchable. Picture quality can be variable, however.

The choice is yours.

When will my club be on Scottish Rugby Television?
We are committed to covering the whole spectrum of Scottish club rugby. We choose games which are of interest to our audience and to potential sponsors.

A match between close rivals in a lower division, involving a promotion battle, may be of greater interest than a mid-table Premier match - especially if a sponsor is keen to come on board.
Please contact us if you would like to suggest such a match.

My company would like to advertise on Scottish Rugby Television. How do we go about it?
Contact us. We have packages to suit all budgets.

When are the highlights updated?
We normally upload Saturday’s game in the afternoon (UTC) of the following Monday. Usually we publish in the following order - This website, then iTunes, and finally YouTube.

How can my brother in Australia watch your coverage?
Scottish Rugby Television is available to everyone in the world, from Airdrie to Adelaide, who has a broadband connection. We love to hear from all our viewers, particularly those overseas. We appreciate the comments we get worldwide, even the rude ones about Ron’s hair!

How can I tell people about Scottish Rugby Television?
If you like what you see, tell your friends.

Download our A4 poster for your club notice board or download our web link. You can find them on the Spread the Word page.

Feel free to post them on any websites or internet notice boards.

How do I receive the podcast?
You need QuickTime on your computer. You can download it here.

Run the installer, which will install QuickTime and iTunes onto your computer. Now click here to find the Scottish Rugby Television podcast, and click the 'Subscribe' button. This is free.

Now every time you start iTunes it will search for any new video we have posted. If one is found, it will download into your computer, where you can view it full screen as often as you like.

You can transfer the video file onto a video capable iPod for portabillity, and even play from the iPod onto your television.

Why don't you cover games live?
Getting live pictures from a rugby ground to the internet is expensive and anyway, a large percentage of our potential audience will be out at a rugby match at the time, won't they?
